Wow, I haven’t made a real post here in a long time… Time to catch up!
Since this time last year, I have:
- found a job working for VCH
- paid off my student loans, all $25,000 of it and it feels GOOD
- become poor (see above)
- realized that photography and video editing are better as hobbies for me
- had it pointed out to me that I’m a hermit and a recluse (need to change this)
- went on my first road trip and visited Portland
- Tried 5 different types of beer in one sitting
- visited the Okanagan for the first time
There’s probably a bit more, but I can’t remember it off the top of my head.
A bit more about the whole photography and video editing bit. It’s feels good to learn how to do take better pictures and use better editing techniques at my leisure. Although I’m probably learning at a much slower pace compared to pursuing it as a career, it’s nice to feel like I can take as much time as I want. I feel like it’s helping me to get a good sense of what my creative eye is like, this way.
You know, life is turning out differently than I would have imagined. It’s not that I had everything all planned out, but it’s definitely taken twists and turns that I never would have expected. It looks like I might be in for a few more windy roads ahead in the near future, but no point in worrying over those too much, eh?
So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
